Dr. Giga Adamia

Dr. Giga Adamia is an Expert and German Desk Partner at LTA, leading the firm’s Energy & Competition Law practice and the German Desk.

He is a business lawyer and a member of the Georgian Bar Association since 2017, with extensive experience advising international and local clients on a broad range of corporate, competition, regulatory, contractual, and public procurement matters in Georgia.

Dr. Adamia combines academic expertise with high-level regulatory and practical experience. He has held senior legal and managerial positions within Georgia’s energy and competition sectors, including roles involving regulatory decision-making, enforcement of competition law, and the development of legal and policy frameworks aligned with EU standards. His professional background includes close engagement with sectoral regulators and the national competition authority.

Throughout his career, he has advised private companies, including investment and holding structures, on complex legal and compliance matters. His practice covers corporate structuring, contract drafting and negotiation, public procurement procedures, regulatory compliance, and strategic legal risk management.

He has particular expertise in energy regulation and competition law and regularly supports German and international clients entering and operating in the Georgian market. His work focuses on cross-border transactions, market entry strategies, regulatory navigation, and the structuring of legally sound and commercially efficient solutions.

In addition to his legal practice, Dr. Adamia is a Professor of Law, teaching corporate, contract, competition, and regulatory law. He is the author of numerous academic publications in the fields of competition and energy law and actively contributes to international legal research and policy discussions.

His multidisciplinary background enables him to deliver precise, business-oriented, and strategically grounded legal advice in complex and regulated environments. He is fluent in English and German, enabling effective communication with international clients and cross-border stakeholders.
